Minister in car crash
Zimbabwe's
Finance Minister, Tendai Biti has been injured after being
involved in a car accident.
The Crash
The minister's car was side-swept by a heavy-duty truck near the
central town of Chegutu, destroying it beyond repairs.
Biti, the second in command of the main opposition party
Movement for Democratic Change (MDC), survived the crash with
injuries, and is presently receiving treatment in a hospital.
Last year, Biti's party boss, Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai,
was involved in a similar accident which claimed the life of his
wife.
