Ebonyi State Begins Treatment For Vasco Vagina
Fistula Patients

The
Ebonyi State government begins the fifth phase of
treatment seventy seven women patients suffering
from Vasco Vagina Fistula in the state.
Speaking at the commissioning of the fifth phase,
wife of Ebonyi state governor, Mrs. Josephine Elechi,
treatment and elimination of VVF is dear to her
heart
Mrs. Elechi expressed displeasures at the high cost
of providing healthcare for VVF patients and
reintegrating them into the society.
On his part, the Minister of Health, Professor
Babatunde Oshotimehin, said government would respond
positively to requests for the establishment of a
virology centre in the state.
The Minister assured that doctors from Federal
Medical Centre, Abakaliki would be part of the
integrated health programmes in all parts of the
state.
