Participants
at the Voice of Nigeria strategic Management retreat have been
challenged to ensure VON vision to be on top of all Broadcasting
media is achieved.
The Call
The Director General of Voice of Nigeria, Mallam Abubakar Bobboi
Jijiwa, made the remark at the opening ceremony of the four day
event taking place in the West African Ecotourism Destination,
Yankari Game Reserve, in Bauchi, North Central region of
Nigeria.
Mallam Jijiwa who described the annual event as an opportunity
of meeting the past leadership of VON to chart a new course for
the corporation, urged participant to ensure that VON sustains
its vision to move to the next level.
Earlier the Chairman Board of Directors, Voice of Nigeria, Mrs.
Stella Attoe, urged the participants to use what she described
absolute closure to come up with concrete ideas that will uplift
the Organization.
Declaring the Retreat open, the Deputy Governor Bauchi State,
Alhaji Babayo Garba Gamawa described the Media as a mirror of
society and stressing the need for Objectivity balancing and
credibility.
In his remark the Gombe State Deputy Governor Dr John Yoriyo
said information Management is very important in the quest of
positive perception of the country.
The Retreat is part of VON’s effort to reposition the
organisation to meet the challenges of 21st century
broadcasting.
