Voice Of Nigeria Commended On Establishing
Bureaus
Nkechi Gabriel, Enugu
 The Management of Voice Of Nigeria has been
commended for opening Zonal Offices in Five
Geo-Political Zones in the Country, and in
Southern Africa.
The Chairman of the Committee on Information of
the Federal House of Representatives, Alhaji
Mustapha Kabir gave this commendation when he
led a delegation of other members of the
Committee on a three-day oversight visit to
agencies under the Federal Ministry of
Information and Communications in the South
Eastern part of Nigeria.
The Committee Chairman said the oversight tour
of the agencies was part of measures to monitor
government agencies spending of funds
appropriated for them in the budget.
He stated that the visit to Voice of Nigeria
office in Enugu would assist the Committee to
know exactly how much funds the organization
required to enable it carryout its activities
effectively.
He expressed delight at the leadership qualities
of the Director-General of Voice Of Nigeria,
Mallam Abubakar Jijiwa, whom he noted was
passionate and diligent in achieving the
Organization’s Set-goals of making Nigeria’s
voice to be heard more positively globally .
Support
Alhaji Mustapha Kabir also pledged the support
of the Committee in any capacity for Voice Of
Nigeria, to ensure that its Zonal Offices
succeed.
VON’s South East Zonal Office covers five
States, namely, Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and
Imo.
