Vision
20-2020 Blueprint Gets Approval

The
Federal Executive Council in Nigeria has approved the Vision
20-2020 Economic Transformation Blueprint document, which will
reposition Nigeria.
The
Minister of National Planning, Dr. Shamsudeen Usman said the
vision would create for Nigeria, a large, strong, diversified,
competitive and technologically driven economy that would
harnesses talents and energy for development.
Dr.
Shamsudeen said the blueprint covers micro and macro economic
framework with projections, to place the Nigerian economy on a
robust, double digit growth from the Year 2010 to 2020 with
diversification of sectoral contributions to Gross Domestic
Product, GDP.
Dr.
Shamsudeen said by this approval, the launching document now
awaits endorsement by the National Council of State.
