Document On Vision 2020

The
final document on Nigeria’s Vision 20:2020 project,
covering the twenty nine thematic areas, is being
prepared by members of the National Technical
Working Groups.
The thematic areas include agriculture, foreign
policy, minerals and metals, health, education,
water and sanitation, culture and tourism, business
environment and employment.
The Vision 20:2020 document is expected to be handed
over to President Umaru Yar' Adua at the end of
September.
More than six hundred professionals, administrators
and officials of a consultancy firm, Accenture, are
attending the meeting to finalise the documents in
Abuja.
The Executive Secretary, National Planning
Commission, Professor Sylvester Money, while giving
an update on the Vision 20:2020 document said that
relevant structures, including a national council on
the vision and the national coordinating council had
been set up.
The National Planning Minister and Chairman,
National Steering Committee of Vision 20:2020, Dr
Shamsudden Usman, commended the members for the
efforts put into the task.
