Rwandan President Praises China On African Trade
Rwandan
President, Paul Kagame has praised China’s business
strategy in Africa as he criticised the West for
basing relations with the continent on aid.
He told a German newspaper, that China was very
generous in its investment drive in Africa
especially the establishment of manufacturing
industries and provision of infrastructure which
generate employment for the populace.
President Kagame said his criticism of the economic
policies of the West was based on the principle that
aids were not as sustainable as establishment of
industries and provisions of basic infrastructure in
Africa.

Annual trade between China and Africa is now more
than one hundred billion dollars.
Chinese companies are active across Africa, but have
been criticised by some in the West, who accuse
Beijing of failing to promote good governance.
