Sudan Unveils First Home
Made Aircraft
Sudan
has unveiled its home grown aircraft worth fifteen
thousand dollars despite sanctions on the country.
The training plane, which runs on car fuel was
produced at Safat Aviation Complex.
Giant Strides
President Bashir said at the unveiling in Wadi
Sayidina military area, north of the capital that,
Sudan has its own military industry and makes tanks,
missiles and many types of guns locally.
He highlighted his government's development record
of hydroelectric dam, a new bridge in Khartoum and
Sudan's first ethanol plant, among other projects.
President Bashir had been issued an arrest warrant
by the International Criminal Court in March, to
face charges of masterminding atrocities in Sudan's
Darfur region.
