Siasia Assures On Nigeria’s Dream Team.

The Coach of the Nigerian under-23 national football team, Samson Siasia, has assured the country of victory in this month’s Olympics qualifier duel South-Africa.

Speaking with Voice of Nigeria in Abuja during training, Coach Siasia said he had prepared his boys well for the crucial match.

‘’I have prepared my boys for the game, much harder than we’ve done for any previous game and I can tell you that we will do the country proud on March 26”, Siasia said.....More

 

Nigeria Says No More Foreign Coach

The Nigerian Football Association, NFA, has said that the former coach of the Super Eagles, German Berti Vogts, who resigned this week, will not be replaced by another foreign coach.
Chairman of the NFA, Abdullah Sanni Lulu stated this after an emergency meeting of the football association in Lagos. He was quoted as saying that,”the board will meet next week to decide who will replace Berti Vogts, but I can assure you that his successor will be a Nigerian.”

Berti Vogts Resigns

German Berti Vogts has resigned his appointment as Chief Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
His resignation may have been informed by the gale of criticisms that trailed the abysmal performance of the Nigerian national team at the 26th edition of the Nations Cup in Ghana.

Super Eagles begin Nations Cup Campaign 


Nigeria’s Super Eagles will trade tackles with the Elephant of Ivory coast late Monday, at the Sekondi-Takoradi Stadium in Ghana, marking their campaign for honour in the most glamorous Africa Sports fiesta.
