Sierra Leone Sacks
Fisheries Minister
Sierra
Leone has sacked its fisheries minister in an anti-corruption
drive.
President Ernest Bai Koroma said the Anti-Corruption Commission
on Monday charged Minister of Marine Resources, Haja Afasatu
Kabba with ‘abuse of office and financial irregularities’.
She has denied the allegations.
Haja Afasatu Kabba becomes the third minister in four months to
be dismissed by the Sierra Leonean government.
Kabba has been replaced by former Presidential Affairs Minister,
Joseph Koroma.
In November, then health minister Tejan Koroma and minister of
state of the vice president, Leonard Balogun Koroma were sacked
after the ACC accused them of corruption.
