UN Mobilises 60 Million
People For Poverty Reduction Campaign
The
United Nations Office in Nigeria says more than 60 million
people in Africa are being mobilized for this year’s anti
poverty campaign.
A statement from the UN
Information Centre in Lagos said that 40 million people had
supported the campaign known as UN Millennium Campaign last
year.
The statement said that this year’s campaign would hold from
October 16 to 18.
It said the event would attract prominent personalities from
Africa who would speak on the roadmap toward the achievement of
the Millennium Development Goals in Nigeria.
