VON Set For
Challenges Of Media Convergence.
In
repositioning for the challenges of Managing Media Convergence,
Voice of Nigeria, the external broadcasting station of Nigeria
has begun a one week retreat for its management team.
The retreat is holding at the Yankari Game Reserve in Bauchi
State, North Eastern Nigeria.
Each directorate is expected to make presentation on media
convergence and proffer strategies on how Voice of Nigeria can
achieve the media mix in the 21st century.
The Management is also expected among other things to deliberate
on staff welfare, improvement on facilities and infrastructures
as well as local and international training for staff.
The Director General of Voice of Nigeria Mallam Abubakar Jijiwa
and other stakeholders in the media industry are attending the
retreat.
VON has held retreat programmers in two geo political zones of
the country namely Badagry in the South West and Enugu, the
South East of the country.
The outcome of the retreat had been a working document to
measure the success of the organisation every year.
