U-17 World Cup: LOC Satisfy With Enugu Centre

Nigeria Football Federation, (NFF) Sani Lulu has expressed
satisfaction at the readiness of Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium, Enugu for
the U-17 World Cup, scheduled to begin on October 24, 2009.
Lulu, who led a delegation of Local Organising Committee (LOC)
to Enugu Center for final Inspection said the stadium and
training pitches were about 98 per cent completed.
The Chairman while addressing newsmen in Enugu said that he was
impressed with the quality of work done at the stadium and
expressed confidence that the facilities would stand test of
time.
He charged the Enugu sub seat to cooperate with one another in
order to achieve a successful hosting .
In his words, ‘’we are happy to confirm that Enugu center is
ready. I am satisfied at the quality of facilities put in place
here”.
He also used the opportunity to commend contributions and
support of the state governor, Sullivan Chime.
The LOC Chairman however, tasked the sub seat to ensure that
both the contractors and consultants who handled the
refurbishment of the stadium were available during the event in
case of any difficulties.
He said that NFF has taken care of issues of adequate security,
accommodation as well as logistics for the event adding that
volunteers for the competition would soon commence training.
