Jonathan Calls For Reconciliation,
Forgiveness At Easter

President Goodluck Jonathan has called on Nigerians to pursue
reconciliation and forgiveness as they celebrate Easter.
Acting President Jonathan made the call in an Easter message to
Nigerians.
In the statement, in Abuja, the Acting President urged all
aggrieved Nigerians to put the past behind them and forge ahead
towards a bright new dawn.
He urged them to serve God and humanity selflessly, rededicate
themselves to the service of the country and continue in love
for one another even as Christ loved us.
Call To Service
He called on all Nigerians to resolve to do what is right at all
times, uphold the virtues that strengthen the bond as a nation,
while promoting unity and peace across the country.
Acting President Jonathan further, enjoined Christians to
emulate the sacrifice of Christ, who laid down his life for the
salvation of mankind.
The statement also quoted him as saying that the significance of
Christ’s death and resurrection manifests in renewed hope and
joy to the world''.
He also urged Nigerians to use the period for spiritual
rejuvenation.
