Jigawa
To Spend N359 Million On Rural Electrification
The
Jigawa State Government, North Western Nigeria, has
earmarked over N359 million for various rural
electrification projects in the state.
The Commissioner of Information, Youths and Sports,
Alhaji Aminu Mohammed, announced this while
addressing newsmen at the end of the state executive
council meeting in Dutse.
He said the council has also set aside forty-six
million naira for the upgrading of Birnin-Kudu
feeder electrification project to supply electricity
to villages in the area.
The Commissioner announced the release of over
twenty-seven million naira for the installation of a
33 KV line from Santimawa to Ringim Local Government
Areas of the state.
