Form The Plank Of Vision 20-2020

The
Nigerian government will use the nation’s Academy of Science to
achieve the desired development in line with its Vision 20-2020.
President Umaru
Yar’Adua said at his investiture as the Grand Patron of the
Nigerian Academy of Science in Abuja that” with the academy
of science in place the vision 20-2020 would come to pass”.
Vision 20-2020
is Nigeria’s blue print to transform its economy and make it one
of the 20 most developed economies in the World by the year
2020.
The President
told the gathering of Professors of the academy that he had no
doubt that Nigeria would meet the target and assured of
government support for the establishment of the National Science
Foundation, the Presidential Science Advisory Committee and the
Secretariat of the Academy in Abuja.
