Football club of Port Harcourt and Lobi Stars Football club of
Makurdi will represent Nigeria in this year’s West African
Football Union, WAFU, inter club competition for the Eyadema
Cup.
Secretary General, Nigeria Football Federation, Bolaji Ojo-Oba
said the two teams have registered for the competition, the
preliminaries of which will begin in May.
The finals will take place in December.
Eight countries are expected to participate in the WAFU Cup of
Nations, scheduled for April 8th to 18th in Abeokuta Ogun state,
South Western Nigeria.
