Sokoto To
Distribute N250 Million Worth Drugs
The
Sokoto state government in Northern Nigeria has purchased drugs
worth two hundred and fifty million naira for distribution to
its rural healthcare centres.
The State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jabbi Bilgore said the
idea was to boost healthcare delivery in the villages, since
there were no modern hospitals there.
The commissioner said that the villagers were being encouraged
to improve sanitation and imbibe boiling water before drinking
so as to minimise diseases.
Bilgore advised the rural dwellers to always report outbreak of
any epidemic to facilitate prompt intervention to check its
spread.
