Calls for Peace And Stability.

Nigeria’s
Acting President, Good-Luck Jonathan has called on Religious
Leaders to work towards peace and stability of Nigeria.
The Call
Speaking in Abuja, when the Amirul-Haj- Leader of the 2009 Hajj
operations, Senator Kanti Bello submitted the report of the
committee, Acting President Jonathan said Nigeria required
continued Prayers to attain its developmental dreams in the
shortest possible time.
The Acting President expressed satisfaction with the report of
the 2009 hajj operations which seeks improvements in some key
areas like flight schedules, Accommodation, Security and
eligibility of intending pilgrims.
He promised that the report will be studied by the government
towards improving on subsequent hajj conduct in Nigeria.
The Amirul-Hajj Senator Kanti Bello said the committee was able
to carry out airlift and return of the pilgrims to and from
Saudi Arabia ahead of schedule for the first time in many years.
