To Launch Economic Blue Print On Independence Day
Nigeria
is to launch an economic blueprint on October
first, to enable Nigeria attain its long term
developmental goal of being among the top twenty
most industrialised economies in the world by 2020.
In a message to the National Project Management
Conference in Abuja, President Yar Adua said
government, through the National Planning
Commission, was at the final stages of articulating
the vision which only involves the harmonisation and
editing of the inputs from the twenty nine thematic
groups, the thirty-six state governments, twelve
special interest groups, the federal ministries,
departments and agencies.
The National Planning Commission had over the last
seven months being coordination of the process
towards articulating the target, through which
Nigeria can attain its long term developmental goal.
