French Army Helicopter Crashes In

French army helicopter crashed near the central city of
Bouake in Ivory
Coast, with both crew members escaping unhurt.
The Ivorien army said in a statement that
the French army has already launched an investigation into the crash,
which pilot error was indicated as the possible cause.
Deployed in 2002, the French peacekeeping force of 1,800 troops operates
in the former French colony.
They are backed by a UN mandate and makeup a larger UN peacekeeping
force of nearly 8,000 soldiers.
