The List of home-based Super Eagles expected to confront Liberia National team later this month is to be released on Monday, ahead of their re-scheduled friendly match.

Nigeria‘s head Coach, Stephen Keshi told Voice of Nigeria in Abuja, said that the recent participation  of home-based Eagles in several warm-up games , was to enable him access the performance of the players with a view to making them brace up for future engagements.

The former Eagles Captain further explains why he has continued to inject more players into the team.

“The new players who just joined the team when we resumed training in preparation for the Liberia friendly are ok. Well I invited them to see their ability and they are just getting into the system. It’s left for me to teach them better on what they should know’’ Keshi said.

The team had resumed training earlier in the week in preparation for the re-scheduled friendly game against the Lone Stars.

The match was earlier scheduled last month after the home-based Eagles forced the Angola National team to a goalless draw in Abuja.

On Friday, the Eagles filed out against one of the local clubs, VON Football club, a club that is based in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, as part of the on-going re-building process in the team.

The match however ended 3-0 in favour of the Super Eagles.
Super Eagles first competitive match under coach Keshi will be the 2013 Nations Cup qualifier against Rwanda in Kigali on February 29.
