Reunion For Korean Families In
Sight
Red
Cross officials from South Korea and North Korea
would meet again to consider reuniting families that
were separated during the Korean War, almost 60
years ago.
Reunions of this kind have been suspended since
President Lee took office in Pyongyang, in early
2008.
The spokesman for the Unification Ministry in Seoul,
Chun Hae-sung, said the discussion begins on
Wednesday at the Diamond Mountain resort, in the
south-east of North Korea.
The meeting is the first to take place in two years
and a final decision should be reached by the end of
the week.
