Nigeria’s PTDF Introduces Research Grant

The Nigerian Petroleum Technology Development Fund, PTDF, has introduced an annual Oil and Gas Research Grant competition. 

The Executive Secretary of PTDF, Alhaji Kabir Mohammed, said the research grant was initiated to complement the already established endowment Programmes of the Fund.  

He said the grant competition was designed in such a way that only the best research proposals that had the capability of influencing oil and gas activities in country would be selected for funding.

The Executive Secretary made this disclosure at the first screening workshop for the grant competition which opens in Abuja, Nigeria.

Value Added

According to Alhaji Mohammed through the competition, the fund would be able to support Nigerians who had good research ideas that would help technological development in the oil and gas sector of the economy.
