Nigerian Kerosene Victim Gets Visa Through Barack Obama
A
16 year old Nigerian, Justice Amadi, who is a victim of kerosene
explosion in the country, has procured visa to travel to the US for
treatment, through the assistance of United States' Democratic Party
presidential hopeful, Barack Obama.
Amadi needed a visa to travel to the US for 5 surgeries
at the Cincinnati's Shriners Hospital. All his previous efforts were in
vain.
According to a Chicago based newspaper, representatives
of Libertyville-based Aid Africa's Children, contacted Obama's office,
for assistance.
The Illinois Senator was sympathetic and took Amadi’s
case up until the necessary travelling papers were issued by the US
embassy in Lagos.
Amadi was quoted as saying that “he was elated by the
gesture” and cried while biding his parents farewell at the Airport.
