Security: Nigerian government urged to use high-grade surveillance cameras

 

Amidst growing security concerns in the country, the Nigerian Government has been advised to use high-grade security surveillance cameras to enable security operatives monitor and respond to security situations.

The President of Zycom Surveillance Technology, an America-based company, Mr Gerald Alexander, urged government to install security surveillance cameras across the country to enable security operatives monitor criminal activities.

Mr Alexander was speaking at a security stakeholders’ forum organised by ZYcom and Hogan Guard, in Lagos State, South-West Nigeria.

According to him: “In view of the current security situations in the country, it is imperative for the Nigerian government to invest in security surveillance, using high-grade cameras to monitor criminal activities and respond equally.”

Security upgrade

He offered to assist Nigeria upgrade its security system, saying: “All the Nigerian government needs now is to upgrade its security setting to meet with the demand of it citizenry. Security surveillance camera is one major device they need to protect life and property across the country.”

Chairman of Hogan Guards Limited, Dr Kola Ibirogba, expressed satisfaction with the decision of ZYcom to invest in Nigeria, which he said would create job opportunities.
