Obiora Ani, Abuja

Senate President, David Mark, gave the injunction after the confirmation of the new chairman and members of the governing board of the ICPC at the National Assembly, Abuja.

The Senate noted that the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission had not been aggressive in its fight against corruption and hoped that the newly confirmed members of the board would galvanize the institution to come alive to its constitutional responsibility.
Six members of the new board and chairman of the ICPC confirmed included Mr. Francis Elechi, Chairman and Mrs Julie Onum Nwariaku, member.
