Vice President commends INEC for successful NASS election

Nigeria’s Vice President, Mr. Namadi Sambo has commended the country’s electoral body, INEC, for what he described as credible exercise.

Mr. Sambo who spoke to newsmen after casting his vote at Unguwar Rimi GRA polling unit in Kaduna said the election has indicated government’s determination to support INEC in conducting a free, fair and acceptable poll.

In his words, “the voting has proved what the president is saying about conducting a transparent election in Nigeria.”

While commending Nigerians for their enthusiasm to elect leaders of their choice, the Vice President urged them to come out and exercise their civic responsibility in the subsequent elections, as government will do all it can to ensure security of citizens.
