Nigeria to partner with China on electoral promises

Nigeria’s Vice President, Mohammed Namadi Sambo, has expressed the willingness of Nigeria to partner with China in ensuring that they deliver on their electoral promises.
Sambo disclosed this when he received a delegation of the China Railway Construction Corporation Limited (CRCC) led by its Chairman in his office.
He said that the meeting is an opportunity to intimate the delegation on the efforts being made so far in the provision of the needed critical infrastructure across the country in line with Nigeria’s vision 20-2020.
Vice President Sambo also said that work has gone far in the provision of thermal power plants and that efforts were now directed at Hydro Power with Irrigation Scheme.
More commitment
Speaking on the administration’s effort to resuscitate Railway, the Vice President re-iterated the commitment of government to make positive progress saying that soon the Federal Government will award contract for the Lagos – Ibadan Rail Line, rehabilitate the East West Rail Line, and ensure the completion of the dredging of River Niger and Benue.
Earlier, the Chairman of the China Railway Construction Corporation Limited (FENGCHAO MENG) congratulated Nigeria for a credible election and reiterated their resolve to work with guaranteed quality and meeting completion schedule.
