Presidential Election results in Kano State

The results of the presidential election conducted in Kano so far have shown that ACN of Nuhu Ribadu got 42,353, ANPP of Malam Shekarau got 528,310, Gen. Buhari of the CPC got 1,634,000 votes and President Goodluck Jonathan of the PDP got 449,353.

The result is for 43 out of the 44 local government areas.

The result of the Kumci Local Government area was rejected by all the representatives of the political parties.

A total number of 2,745,440 votes were cast, out of which 72,218 were declared invalid, while a total of 2,673,222 are said to be valid.

 The results of the election were declared by the Kano state election returning officer, Professor Abdulrashid Abubakar, VC Bayero University, Kano.
