Nigerian government to fast track solid minerals development

The Nigerian Government has pledged to vigorously implement policies, programmes and projects that will ensure the rapid development of Nigeria’s solid minerals sector in the next four years.
President Goodluck Jonathan gave the assurance in Perth, Australia at an interactive dinner with leading Australian mining and solid minerals investors.
He said the measure would also enhance the efforts of his administration to create more job opportunities for the country’s youth.
The President declared that he was passionately committed to the full development of Nigeria’s solid minerals sector because of its huge potentials for boosting the national economy.
