The Nigerian First Lady, Mrs Patience Jonathan, was among the one thousand four hundred and sixty-nine foreign delegates from sixty-four countries that participated in the twenty-fourth Church Growth International Conference, in Seoul, Korea.

In a sermon at the conference, the Senior Pastor Emeritus of the Church, Pastor Yonggi Cho, urged the congregation to intensify prayers for lasting peace in the world.
The Pastor also recognized the support he benefited from Nigeria during his last evangelical visit to the country and prayed God to visit Nigeria to show it direction and take it to its rightful place among the comity of nations.

At a Banquet organized by the Nigerian Embassy for Mrs Jonathan, the First Lady described the relationship between Nigeria and South Korea as cordial. She noted that Nigeria was an investors’ haven and urged Koreans to increase their investment in the country.

The president’s wife also appealed to Nigerians living in Korea to remember the country in prayer at all times and to contribute their quota to the development of the country.
The Nigerian Ambassador to South Korea, Mr. Desmond Akawor, praised the First Lady for recognizing that Nigeria needed prayers.
He said that it was only “a worthy mother that recognizes the needs of her household.”
