Nigerian senate confirms appointment of Musdapher as CJN
The Nigerian Senate on Wednesday confirmed the appointment of Justice Dahiru Musdapher as the Chief Justice of Nigeria.
Senate Spokesman, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe had earlier told newsmen that the Acting Chief Justice would be screened at plenary before the full complement of the senate.
The appointment
Justice Dahiru Musdapher was appointed as the Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria earlier this month by the Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan after the retirement of Justice Adolphus Katsina-Alu.
Musdapher, 69 attended Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria from 1963 to 1964, University of London, School of Oriental and African Studies 1964-67, Inns of Court School of Law (Middle Temple) 1964-67 and he was at the Nigerian Law School between1967 and 1968.
He became a Justice of the Supreme Court in 2003.
