| Nigeria, Gambia to cooperate in the passage of common laws
Nigeria and Gambia have resolved to cooperate in the passage of common laws that would boost the political and economic relations of both countries.

This was part of the resolutions reached when the Nigerian Senate President, David Mark and Speaker of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal met with the Speaker of the Gambian National Assembly, Abdoulie Bojang in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
Facilitating cooperation and development
Senator Mark praised the initiative of legislative cooperation between Nigeria and Gambia saying it would engender economic and political development for both nations.
Earlier, the Speaker of the Gambian Parliament, Bojang said that the new co-operation between Nigeria and Gambia’s National Assembly would facilitate further cooperation in the executive arm of both governments for the good of her citizens.
He noted that Nigeria remained the big brother of all other African countries and added that over 247 Nigerians were resident in Gambia and are engaged in legitimate businesses.
