First Lady commends media participation on behavioural change

The wife of the Nigerian president, Mrs Patience Jonathan has praised both local and international media for spreading information on behavioural change.
She gave the commendation at a Town Hall meeting organised by Voice of America in collaboration with Radio France International, in Abuja.
Mrs Jonathan noted that the media had a central role to play in passing health and healthy living information.
She however advised practitioners to sustain the tempo.
The president’s wife also said that her current attention on the war against HIV/AIDS was on the Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission and solicited media assistance in the cause.
The theme of the Town Hall Meeting which attracted media executives, health experts and members of the diplomatic corps is; "The Role of International Broadcasters in Supporting Health Development in Nigeria."
