Nigerians have been advised to vote for political candidates that will bring the necessary change in terms of employment and development.

The vicar in charge of St Peters Anglican Church, Abule Egba in Lagos, South-west Nigeria, Venerable Funso Awe, gave the charge in an interview with newsmen on Tuesday.

Right choice

Venerable Funso noted that there was need to take Nigeria to the next level, saying that it could only be done by making the right choice.

The Vicar advised every voter to look at the records of every candidate and vote for those candidates that have good track records and are very committed to ensuring that their promises are actualized.

He urged the electorate to eschew corruption and ensure that they do not vote for candidates that are willing to give money or other items for their votes.

“Do not take money or food items before you vote for a candidate,” he said.

Funso expressed confidence in INEC, but said that the electorate would bring the necessary change if they stand by their vote and ensure that it counts.

In his words, “there is need to also pray for peace especially in this time of election, as a nation where peace is lacking, will never grow.”

He expressed optimism that the right candidate ordained by God, to bring development and growth in Nigeria will emerge as the winner.
