EFCC summons Managers of independent petroleum companies

The Executive Officers of all major and independent companies in Nigeria’s petroleum industry have been summoned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
The summoned oil managers had appeared in batches before the House of Representatives’ ad-hoc committee handling the probe on the management of fuel subsidy to explain transactions of their respective companies in the importation and supply of petroleum products and payments received as subsidy.
During his Presentation before the committee, the National President of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, (IPMAN) Aminu Abudul Kadir decried the problems in the industry caused by importers he called “brief case importers” and pledged his commitment to giving actual facts to help the committee in their findings.
