Enugu State Budget Over N60 Billion For 2011

Enugu state in eastern Nigeria have budgeted the sum of 66,442,293,596 Naira for its services during the 2011 fiscal year.

Breakdown

This is made up of a recurrent expenditure of forty billion, one hundred and fourteen million, two hundred and six thousand, five hundred and ninety six naira( 40,114,206,596 )and a capital vote of twenty six billion, three hundred and twenty eight thousand, eighty seven thousand naira( 26,328,087,000 ).

Addressing journalists in Enugu, the state Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development, Mrs. Vivienne Eze said that the decrease in the size of the budget over that of 2010 was necessitated by the realities of time with reference to revenue inflow from the state revenue sources.

The budget christened "Budget of continuity" , has as its overreaching policy thrust, to promote continuity, stimulate growth, enhance the security of lives and property, reduce poverty and usher good governance.
