World Customs Organisation Boss Visits Nigeria
The Secretary-General of the World Customs Organisation, Mr. Kunio Mikuriya, begins a three-day visit to Nigeria on Wednesday, to discuss measures at promoting international trade .
Mr. Mikuriya will hold talks with Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan and the Minister of Finance, Olusegun Aganga.
He will meet his counterparts in the Nigerian Customs Service and discuss modalities for consolidating the on-going process of developing a Memorandum of Understanding with the ECOWAS Commission.
The Nigeria Customs Service in a statement said the visit would afford the secretary-general the opportunity to relate with stakeholders in customs operations in Nigeria .
It said the visit would afford the Service the opportunity of boosting the profile of the organisation through constructive engagement with policy makers.
