20 Nigerian companies receive global certification

Twenty Nigerian manufacturing and food processing companies have been certified by the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) and its international partners to export their products abroad.
The products include, food processing (noodles, fruit juice), farm produce and chicken, eggs, salt, and Cocoa products, produced by Dangote Group, Multi-trex integrated Food, AkinSateru Farms, National Salt Company, Oba Marshal Breeders, Obasanjo Farms, Tempo Starch and Glucose ,Agromix ,Cocoa Products ,Matna Farms and Savannah Sugar Company.
These companies based in all geo political zones of Nigeria got the international quality assurance certificate after excelling in the West Africa Quality programme founded by the European Union, ECOWAS, UNIDO and the French Monetary Union, UEMOA. The programme is an examinations on plan/steps for implementing and certification of pilot enterprises to ISO 2200 Food Safety and Management System (FSMS).
According to the content of the Enterprise certificate, the Nigerian companies will not benefit from the opportunities of World Trade incentives.
