Lagos State Partners
China For Expertise Transfer
Abdul Isa, Lagos
The
Lagos state governor in South West Nigeria, Mr.
Babatunde Fashola has asked China to extend her
value added processing mechanisms and expertise to
Nigeria.
Governor Fashola said this when he received the
Governor of Zhejiang Province, Mr. Lu Zushan who is
on a courtesy visit to Lagos State.
According to him, ’’Nigeria is interested in opening
up investments; therefore China should consider the
option of transferring its cottage industry
experience, for which it is well known, to
Nigeria.’’
Governor Fashola said that with the increasing
volatility and fluctuations in commercial trade and
prices, there still exit other options of
international trade that Nigeria and China could
explore.
The Governor of Zhejiang Province, Mr. Lu, expressed
his readiness for collaboration with Lagos state in
areas of textile and construction.
