Nigeria To Present 5 Billion Dollars Project At Investment Summit
Nigeria
is to present a 5 billion dollar project at the forth coming Investment
Summit in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
The summit under the auspices of
the Pan- African
investment communication group follows the success recorded in the 2007
Pan- African Infrastructure Investor Project Summit.
The project is expected to unearth a
number of Nigeria infrastructural project opportunities in energy, oil &
gas, transport, ICT and telecoms among others.
Rationale
Dr Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, Chairman, Africa
Investor Forum, said “African investors are responding to President
Umaru Musa Yar'Adua's recent call for business to drive the
infrastructure investment process in Nigeria, through this summit”.
Nigeria's infrastructural financing
requires about 6 to 9 million dollars per annum over the next 5 years.
The investment summit is scheduled for
June 16 to 17, 2008 in Abuja.
