Botswana Goes To The
Polls
Voters
in Botswana are taking part in elections to elect a new
President.
Incumbent President Ian Khama of the Botswana Democratic Party
is standing in for re-election as the votes opened on Friday.
The ruling party has been in power since 1966.
A record of 723,617 people registered to vote in the country
with a population of about 1.8 million.
Results are expected on Sunday.
