The
Ebonyi State Government in South Eastern Nigeria has
stepped up arrangements to boost its Educational
Sector.
As part of efforts to fast tract the arrangement,
the state government has released over N51 million
for Overseas Post-graduate programmes for 20
indigenes.
The Permanent Secretary Ebonyi Scholarship Board,
Chief Godwin Ogbaga, while presenting travel
documents to some of the beneficiaries of the
scholarship said more brilliant and indigent
students were considered for the scholarship scheme.
He said the scholarship scheme is to help reduce the
high level of illiteracy among the people, and also
boost the state’s manpower need.
