E-Library
Boost In Egypt
Egypt has launched a 60,000 US dollar
Digital Library to widen access to scientific
materials.
The E- Library launched this month
would boost locally-produced research, and provide
the Egyptian community with discounted journals by
leading US scientific societies.
The initiative, funded by U.S
Fulbright Academy of Science and Technology, will
also provide training for librarians and experts in
the country.
Magdi Tawfik Abdelhamid, a researcher
at Cairo's National Research Centre said in an
ever-increasing digital age, virtual libraries were
the best choice for increasing the use of academic
research while lowering costs.
