Christians Celebrate Good Friday

Christians all over the world celebrate Good Friday, one of the holy days of Easter, when Jesus was crucified on the Cross at Calvary for mankind. 

Voice of Nigeria Correspondent reports that Christian faithful   observed the day in churches across the country singing praises to the lord and   prayed for peaceful co-existence in the country. 

A Catholic priest in Our Lady of Lords Catholic Church, Lagos, south western Nigeria, Reverend Father Chioma Ibegbulem urged Nigerians to imbibe the virtues of Good Friday.  

These include love, peaceful co-existence, forgiveness, steadfastness and unity. 

Meanwhile, the leader of Nigerian Muslims and Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar has sent out a Goodwill message to all Christians as they observe the holy Season of Easter. 

He urged all Nigerians to continue to pray and work for a better Nigeria, where peace, Love and Unity will reign in the country.
