Floods Kill Seven People In Algeria
Floods
caused by torrential rains have killed seven people and
partially damaged roads in eastern Algeria over the past two
days.
Two corpses were found on
Saturday following heavy rains in Setif province, some 300
Kilometres east of the capital Algiers.
Two brothers aged eight and nine
years were swept away by a river in spate when they were walking
home from school on Saturday in Batna region, about 430 km) east
of Algiers.
Three other people died as floods
swept away their cars in the same province on Friday, the
officials added.
