Leader Begins Tour Of Nigeria; Call On African Leaders To Invest
In Education
The
leader of the Worldwide AHMADIYYA Muslim Community Hazrat
Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih V, has arrived Nigeria from
Ghana on his tour of West African states.
Speaking with journalists at the
Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos, the leader of the Ahmadiyya
Muslim community urged African leaders to invest more in
education foe overall development of the continent.
He said the call was necessary to
underscore the firm belief of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community in
self actualization of man as ordained by Allah; hence, the
Islamic group has taken the lead to provide education to all
irrespective of religion, race, colour and creed in some
countries where the group is established.
In Nigeria, Ahmadiyya was the
first Islamic organization to established a primary school Talim
Ul Islam Primary school in 1922 at Elegbata , LAGOS island
Southwest of Nigeria. Other secondary and missionary training
schools where sited in Kano, Umaisha, Ogbagi- Akoko, Ilaro ,
Minna and host of others in the country.
Hazrat Masroor Ahmad equally
called of religious group to eschew violence, respect one
another’s views and preach peaceful coexistence.
The leader of the Ahmadiyya
Muslim globally while in Nigeria will commissioned , ultral
modern x-ray machine, new medical theater at Apapa Hospital in
Lagos , 2 new mosques in Ibadan and Abuja., laid foundation
stone for a specialist hospital in Adeeqat-e Ahmad – Centenary
Khilafat Village, Karu, along Keffi Abuja Highway.
