| Uganda to pass anti gay bill
The Ugandan parliamentary committee is recommending passing an anti-homosexuality bill, which in its original form includes the death penalty.
According to the Human Rights Watch the committee presents the recommendation to the parliament on Friday for debate.
The group said the committee recommended adding criminal penalties for involvement in a same sex marriage.
The author of the bill said that a new version of the draft would not contain the death penalty but no amended version of the bill has been released.
A Ugandan gay rights activist who spoke out against the bill was murdered in January. But Ugandan officials said the killing had nothing to do with his campaign against the legislation.
The bill however, has drawn criticism from around the world and US President, Barack Obama has described it as hateful.
