Zimbabwe To Grow Economy By 8.1 Percent

Zimbabwe 's finance minister, Tendai Biti has said the country's economy is on track to grow by 8.1 percent this year and close to 10 per cent in 2011.

Biti gave the forecast on Thursday on the sidelines of a conference in Johannesburg .

The southern African nation was battered by a decade of economic contraction and hyperinflation.

Zimbabwe has begun to recover after a unity government was set up last year.
